TERMS OF SERVICE

LAST UPDATED: 7 OCTOBER 2026

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Diverse AS (org.nr. 937 775 466, Friis' gate 4, 0187 Oslo, Norway), which runs Showrunner. They apply to the Showrunner web app, the iOS app and the desktop apps (together, “Showrunner”).

By creating an account, or by continuing to use Showrunner after we ask you to accept these terms, you agree to them. If you use Showrunner for a production company or other organisation, you accept them for that organisation too, and you confirm you have the authority to do so. In these terms, “customer” means the organisation that runs a production in Showrunner, and “you” means you as a user and, where relevant, the customer.

2. What Showrunner is

Showrunner is a tool for planning and running film and TV productions: scripts, breakdowns, schedules, call sheets, crew, locations, footage and more. We improve it all the time, so features may be added, changed or removed. Features marked as beta or early access may be less reliable than the rest.

3. Your account

  • Use an email address you control. We sign you in with codes sent to it.
  • Keep your sign-in codes and devices secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
  • An account is for one person. Don’t share it.
  • You must be at least 16 years old, or have permission from a parent or guardian.

4. Productions, teams and access

Each production is controlled by its administrators. They decide who is invited, which pages each person can see, and what happens to the production’s data. If you join someone else’s production, the work you add stays with that production when you leave it or delete your account.

5. Your content

You and the customer keep all rights to the scripts, schedules, footage and everything else you add (“content”). We claim no ownership of it. You give us the permission we need to host, store, copy, process and display your content, solely to run Showrunner for you, keep it secure and give you support.

We treat production content as confidential. Our staff only access it when you ask for help, to keep the service secure, or when the law requires it. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we don’t let our providers do so either.

You confirm you have the rights to the content you add, and that adding it to Showrunner doesn’t break the law or anyone else’s rights.

6. Personal data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your account data. When a customer adds personal data about other people, such as cast and crew contact details, the customer is the data controller and we process that data on its behalf. Our Data Processing Agreement covers that processing and forms part of these terms. The customer is responsible for having a lawful basis for the personal data it adds.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t use Showrunner to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy;
  • upload malware, or try to get around permissions, security or usage limits;
  • access data you haven’t been given access to;
  • overload the service, scrape it, or copy it to build a competing product;
  • harass or harm other people.

8. AI features

Some features use AI to suggest descriptions, analyse scripts and similar. AI output can be wrong. Check it before you rely on it. The content these features need is sent to the AI provider listed in our Privacy Policy, under terms that forbid using it for training.

9. Prices

Showrunner is currently free to use unless you have agreed otherwise with us in writing. We may introduce paid plans. If we do, we’ll tell you at least 30 days in advance, and we’ll never charge you without your agreement.

10. Availability and backups

We work hard to keep Showrunner available and your data safe, and we keep regular backups. Unless we have agreed a service level with you in writing, we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. Keep your own copy of anything you can’t do without on a shoot day, such as exported call sheets.

11. Other services

Showrunner works with services from other companies, such as Google and Apple sign-in, Google Maps and video playback. Their own terms apply when you use them.

12. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Showrunner and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that puts the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we’ll warn you first and give you time to fix the problem.

If a customer stops using Showrunner, we’ll help export its production data on request for 30 days afterwards. After that, the data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.

13. Liability

Showrunner is provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit, lost revenue or production delays. Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or NOK 10,000 if you paid nothing.

These limits don’t apply to loss caused by gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where mandatory law, including consumer law, says otherwise.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a significant change, we’ll tell you in the app or by email, and ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Showrunner. For smaller changes, such as clarifications, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. We’ll try to solve any disagreement with you directly first. If we can’t, Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett) is the agreed venue, unless mandatory law gives you the right to use another court.
